The Wallflowers
在中国，知道The Wallflowers的人大概不多，知道Jakob Dylan的人就更少了。但是，知道Bob Dylan的人却不在少数，它们的关系是这样的：Bob Dylan的儿子是Jakob Dylan，Jakob Dylan是The Wallflowers的主唱。尽管关系是这样的，但是，在听The Wallflowers的音乐时不要把The Wallflowers或Jakob Dylan与Bob Dylan联系在一起，尽管他看上去很像他的父亲，尽管Jakob也像他的父亲一样抱着吉他。 The Wallflowers立足洛杉矶，但音乐却源自纳什维尔、新奥尔良和新泽西，音乐风格也是乡村音乐、摇滚乐和民歌的融合体。1992年，它们出版了第一张同名专辑，但没有什么反响。这是The Wallflowers的第二张专辑，担任制作人的T-Bone Burnett恰恰是当年Bob Dylan巡回演出时Rolling Thunder乐队的吉他手。T-Bone Burnett的参与，使这张专辑比起他们的第一张专辑更根源一些。 整张专辑是以白人布鲁斯、乡村音乐为基调，优美的吉他Solo使人想起60年代的白人布鲁斯摇滚乐，而优美的和声又使人想起当年纳什维尔的乡村音乐。专辑中最抢耳的要数“6th Avenue Heartache”这首歌了，吉他演奏颇似Eric Clapton的“Wonderful Tonight”。“Bleeders”、“The Difference”、“God Don’t Make Lonely Girls”等是专辑中几首摇滚风格比较明显的歌曲，而“Three Marfenas”“Invisible City”、“Josephine”又是极富情调的、细腻的乡村风格的作品，“Josephine”也是专辑里另一首抒情佳作。
