For many people the name Roy Orbison is usually only associated with 4 big hit songs from the early/mid 1960s (Oh, Pretty Woman, Only The Lonely, It's Over, and Crying), yet his career spanned ovr 30 years and he recorded hundreds of songs. The quality of his voice and the essential elements of his vocal range and the emotion of delivery never diminished, however, and these qualities are in evidence in many of the tracks on this CD. From the characteristic operatics of Cry Softly Lonely One, to the emotional lyrics of Remember The Good. From the 'big' sound of So Young (from the film soundtrack Zabriskie Point), to the more experimental Southbound Jericho Parkway, this is still the sound of Roy Orbison and deserves to be heard.
