Ray Johnson a gospel artist launching his career from Rocky Mount North Carolina. He began playing bass at North Edgecombe H.S, Chowan College, Shaw University and North Carolina Wesleyan Jazz bands. He later toured with James Parker Electric Image R&B Band. Ray re-dedicated his life to Christ. His love for Jesus and winning souls for the Kingdom inspired him to pursue a career in gospel music. He attended Ebenezer Baptist Church, Dr. Thomas L. Walker, where he started out playing the bass in the choir. He also performed and recorded with the Gospel Express in Tarboro NC and Chester Lewis and Company. He is Minister of the Gospel later became Minister of Music at Showers of Blessing Christian Center, Dr. Bernard Grant, Remnant Outreach Ministries, Pastor Tony Barnes and is currently at St Paul and New Beginnings Christian Center with Dr. Danny F Ellis. He has accompanied artist such as Thomas Walker, Luther Barnes and Dorothy Norwood to just name a few. Ray's current project and first solo album soon to be release early 2016 combines a combination of the various styles of music. As a song writer and composer he invites you to experience the Word of God through the ministry in songs and music. Ray also has a "Youtube" channel.
