The title For Your Name's Sake comes from Psalms 31: 1-3. One day when reading that passage it struck me that although we are flawed human beings due to sin and selfishness, God still works in and through us, not that we would be filled with pride and puffed up in our own works, but For His Own Name's Sake. God will uphold His own Name because as "good" as we may try to be, we will always come up short of the mark, missing the target we think is righteousness. For Your Name's Sake is a recognition of being utterly dependent on God. It is comprehending the fact that He knows us and calls us by our name when no one else sees us. It is a journey of God's mercy and forgiveness and as we walk with Him The Holy Spirit purifies us with His Holy Fire. It is coming to know Him as our Refuge, our Hiding Place and our Rock in times of desperation. It is also adoring Almighty God and celebrating His miracle working power in our lives. Your journey as a listener gives a sneak peak into eternity for those who Love and have accepted the Lamb of God/Jesus Christ who shed His precious blood for us. It is then that we realize there is no greater Love than this. All we can do now is respond from a grateful heart and say Thank You to the Lord for All He Is and for All He has done.
