Klassische Balladen/Classical Ballads

Klassische Balladen/Classical Ballads

Wilhelm Pfeiffer has a late vocation for singing. As late as in his early twenties he started discovering the world of Opera and, as a result of that, his love of singing. Back then, he focused on the works of Richard Wagner. In his late twenties he took up singing lessons. However, Wilhelm Pfeiffer very soon touched on the limits of traditional "classical training" for vocalists. He realised that vocals training as such is only possible through the entirely free development of one's own personality. The human body and the human being in its entirety have to be perceived as an instrument which has to be developed, tuned and nurtured. The natural consequence of this insight was to create a completely new kind of technique of developing and mastering the voice. This technique goes far beyond the limits of traditional register and helps Wilhelm Pfeiffer in playfully switching between high bass voices and all baritone registers, as well as dramatic and lyrical tenor. When developing his individual sound, Wilhelm Pfeiffer was inspired by vocalist personalities like Theo Adam, Giovanni Martinelli, Birgit Nilsson, Spas Wenkoff and Wolfgang Windgassen. Wilhelm Pfeiffer's style is captivating in its stylistically correct intensity and picturesque expressiveness. Even the first 20 performances revealed that his art appeals to a wide-ranging audience. After two tracks released as real-tone ringtones only in 2007, "Die Taubenpost" by Franz Schubert (1797-1828) and "Adeste Fideles (O Come All Ye Faithful)" by John Francis Wade (1711-1786), Wilhelm Pfeiffer and Fabricio Moreira arrived at releasing the 16-track album "KLASSISCHE BALLADEN/CLASSICAL BALLADS" in March 2008.
