Tony Santos is a New York City music veteran. He started playing music in the late 70,s during the new wave/punk rock craze. Tony played in many local bands like Lonely Joker and touch. Tony wrote and created music in the style of the Police and U2.During the late 1980,s Tony was inspired by a Blues musican he met by the name of John Campbell. John was playing at a bar called crossroads in the village. Tony was blown away by the sound of a steel guitar played in open tunings. Tony began studying the blues and learning about its history.In the late 90,s Tony formed a band called the Blues conspiracy which released two CDS performed at many top New York Clubs like chicago Blues and the house of Blues in Boston. His new CD solid Ground fuses his love for the blues and his early passion for Rock and Rock and R+B. One listen and you can hear the power and love that went into the songwriting and production. On the CD Tony has a great back up band with great players like Vito LIUZZI (Johnny Winter Band) Andru Cann (Peter Framton) Jeff Salen (Tuff Darts) plus many others.
