ISGAARD – WOODEN HOUSES (RELEASE DATE: 24.10.2008) 4 years after her last album Isgaard´s new album „Wooden Houses“ will be released. For sure it´s the most emotional and most intensive one of the german singer. ISGAARD: „My influences come from singers like Kate Bush, Loreena Mac Kennitt and Madredeus, but as well in classical music and this time I combined those things of these two worlds, that I am fascinated by. Music is a kind of everlasting, elemental language and cannot be put in chains. This attitude was shared by Isgaard´s producer Jens Lück: „The work on this record was like working on a project of myself; I have given everything and I have put a lot of passion into this music; and I was – as ISGAARD – very close to my most important influences (Anton Bruckner, Filmscores, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel) WOODEN HOUSES ist like a musical voyage, that you have to get into. If you close your eyes pictures will pass by like movies that wait for being realized. Landscapes of sound carried by Isgaard´s various voice. Therefore filmmaker Stefan Erdmann used some tunes of the album for the soundtrack to his movie ISLAND 63°-66°north (www.iceland.com). ISGAARD`s crystal-clear voice in combination with fascinating pictures of the icelandic landscape create an extraordinary symbiosis.
